The Plot
Sharing a name with a fairytale character isn't all fun and games. Especially not for shy guy Aladin (Riteish Deshmukh), whose life is made a living hell by a bunch of bullies who are constantly poking fun at him. Their favourite pastime is getting Aladin to rub sundry lamps to make a genie appear. Until one day, the love of his life Jasmine (Jacqueline Fernandez) gives him a lamp from which a genie actually appears! Genius the genie (Amitabh Bachchan) refuses to leave his side without granting Aladin's three wishes. But the story doesn't end there. The evil magician Ringmaster (Sanjay Dutt) wants to kill Aladin so he can take possession of the lamp to reclaim his powers. And so begins the war between the forces of good and evil.
Totally Yummy
With its grand canvas and fancy SFX effects, the movie promises to be a visual extravaganza.
The Flip Side
Aladin's story has always been a favourite fairytale, so a botched up job will certainly not go down well with the audiences.
